Prominent and financially stable property and casualty insurance carrier is currently looking to add several senior underwriters to their Energy Team in Texas.

Individual must have middle market to large accounts casualty underwriting experience, preferably within the Energy Sector. Individual will be responsible for managing a current book of business while maintaining current relationships and building new ones within the territory. Individual will be responsible for their own book of business.

Additional responsibilities listed below:

• Develops, administers and monitors complex underwriting rules and guidelines.
• Participates in the development of business strategies and market opportunity assessments.
• Recommends and leads product development efforts for Casualty Energy
• Leads and participates on project and key initiative teams affecting the Energy strategic business unit.
• Reviews and develops policy language, including review of manuscript forms.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years experience in commercial lines underwriting
• Minimum of 2 years experience underwriting energy related risks
• Preference for loss sensitive plan exposure
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
