Established and growing Property and Casualty MGA is seeking a Production Underwriter for their Dallas operation.  Candidates will be responsible for the marketing and underwriting of commercial lines accounts in a wide array of surplus lines classes of business.  You will handle submissions on both a contract and brokerage basis.

Qualifications:

• Associates or four year degree (preferred not required)
• Minimum of five years of proven work experience as an underwriter with a minimum of one year experience as a senior or lead underwriter (additional experience as an underwriter may be considered in lieu of senior or lead experience)
• Strong new business development / marketing skills
• Excellent relationships with Dallas independent agents
• Experience in manual and computerized rating
• Exceptional judgment as it pertains to the underwriting process, time management and interaction with others
• In depth knowledge of policy coverage, provisions and their application
