Commercial Lines Production Underwriter needed for Regional Carrier in the Dallas area. Client is looking for individuals committed to exceeding agent and customer expectations who are interested in joining a dynamic and fast-paced environment where service and quality are taken to a new level.

The primary function of the Commercial Lines Underwriter is the production of an underwriting profit through the effective development and maintenance of quality business consistent with the overall business plan objectives under direct supervision and within specific authority grant. Client is looking for experienced Middle-Market Underwriters to join their team. In addition to accepting or rejecting new business and continually developing renewal business in accordance with the company's underwriting practices, this position will act as a go-to person within the department for other Underwriters. Work in partnership with our agents in a assigned territory to increase production, improve results and provide timely, courteous and efficient service to producers and policy holders.

Requirements:

• This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as 7 or more years of experience in Multi-Line, Mid-Market Commercial underwriting.
• Good technical underwriter skills required.
• Strong relationships with North Texas agents.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in related work experience, as well as attainment, or active pursuit of CPCU and/or CIC designation also preferred.
