Recognized and growing Property and Casualty Insurance company is seeking a Senior Commercial Underwriter for their Texas territory.  Candidates will be responsible for building a technology-focused book of business.  As a result, you will work with independent agents and brokers around the state writing information technology business.  These accounts will range from $100,000 to $1MM in premium and will involve all lines of coverage except professional liability.  The successful candidate will be able to work from home anywhere in Texas.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience underwriting information technology risks in a P&C carrier environment
• 4 year college degree is highly preferred
• Strong agent / broker relationships in Texas
• Successful track record for building an underwriting territory
• Excellent marketing and communications skills
• Professional insurance designations such as CPCU, CIC etc. are considered a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and with offsite resources
