Financially solid and stable Property & Casualty Insurance company is seeking a Multiline Commercial Lines Underwriter for their Nashville operation. Candidates will be responsible for the underwriting and marketing of small to middle market commercial accounts to independent agents and brokers in a territory that includes Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Virginia.  This is a production underwriting role.  Successful candidates can come from the standard carrier, E&S carrier or MGU (binding authority) operations. 

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years experience underwriting commercial accounts with a P&C insurance carrier or MGA.
• Must have a strong technical underwriting background in commercial auto, but also have experience in general liability and property.
• Successful track record in writing new business.
• 4 year college degree is highly preferred.
• Professional insurance designations are a plus.
• Strong marketing and communication skills
• Desire to advance in your career
