REGULATORY COMPLIANCE ANALYST- Dallas

Growing and profitable Property and Casualty Insurance organization is seeking a Regulatory Data Reporting Analyst for their Dallas operation.  Candidates will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate statistical data reporting to various regulatory agencies and bureaus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transition data analysis and reporting responsibilities as regards day to day statistical data gathering and reporting from Regulatory Compliance Manager
  • Report any compliance related issues to Regulatory Compliance Manager and work to resolve
  • Track and Review data call requirements from the various DOI's, and work with Reporting Vendor to timely respond
  • Work with Regulatory Compliance Manager to provide assistance and clarification to Reporting Vendor as needed. 
  • Review data calls completed by Reporting Vendor for accuracy and compliance.
  • Review AIPSO and other residual market reports for accuracy and financial assessment
  • Develop and verify wind pool data reports by working with the IT department
  • Intervene and assist in resolution of DMV reporting issues
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for Texas HO stat data to Premium and claim registers
  • Verify that quarterly stat data base from Reporting Vendor meets reconciliation requirements
  • Perform selected data audits and/or research and resolve issues as raised
  • Work with Reporting Vendor to ensure quarterly stat files are completed on a timely basis
  • Assist Reporting Vendor with implementing statistical reporting for new program managers or TPAs
  • Provide back up for Regulatory Compliance Manager, and others in Legal Department, with compliance related issues as priorities demand

Qualifications/Skills /Abilities

  • College degree
  • Property and Casualty Insurance experience 5+ years. 
  • Rating or statistical data reporting experience highly desirable
  • Data skills and broad understanding of insurance mandatory
  • Some Insurance industry coursework or certification programs desirable
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point 
  • Detail-oriented; math aptitude.
  • In-depth understanding of concepts of system data flows, relationships, edits, processes, validations, and reconciliations.
  • Demonstrates initiative and technical expertise  to analyze data, and identify, investigate and resolve issues
  • Ability to coordinate and/or  lead appropriate resources in issue-management and resolution and/or improving processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
