Growing Property and Casualty Insurance company is seeking a Loss Control Consultant for their Texas operation. You will work out of your home and can operate from anywhere in the State of Texas. Candidates will be responsible for providing safety and loss control services for self insurance risk pool members. Other duties include:
- Will prepare safety surveys, conduct safety audits, provide loss control training, and assess the safety needs of the members.
- Write reports and recommendations utilizing nationally recognized safety standards such as OSHA, ANSI and NFPA based on surveys of facilities.
- Communicate in writing and orally with members any safety issues and concerns.
- Conduct classroom and hands on training.
- Develop training programs relating to member requests, and program needs.
- The Consultant will office from their home and travel extensively (90%) in Texas region.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a loss control representative preferably with a Property and Casualty Insurance carrier.
- 4 year college degree
- CSP or CSM certification is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Valid Texas Driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Good oral and written communications skills
