AVP OF UNDERWRITING, PERSONAL LINES AUTO - CA

Recognized and growing Property and Casualty Insurance company is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Underwriting of Personal Auto.  Candidates will be responsible for overseeing all underwriting, customer service and processing functions.  Ensure the book of business is consistent with company goals and guidelines by consulting all department managers, monitoring trends and goals, developing/modifying pricing and underwriting policies. Analyze and manage the profitability and growth of a portfolio of states and provide project leadership as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 12 years experience in the underwriting, marketing and management of Personal Lines Auto.
  • A minimum of 5 years of underwriting management at the branch, region or home office levels.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • 4 year college degree
  • Professional Insurance designations such as CPCU or CIC etc. are considered a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products
